Lovey Dovey Romances to spend your Valentines Day with (or that’ll make you want to ditch your date!) by Emma Coton
With a glass of red in one hand and a novel in the other, making you swoon like the romantic you are! <3
By Emma Coton
Every month has an emotion connected to it, and if it wasn’t for the commercialised ‘V Day’ celebration, it would be right now that we all need a romance read to help warm our frozen hearts and bodies due to the weather.
Don’t worry shes, hes, and theys, I got your back and will help you delve into these books so hard, you’ll be crying into your pillows for why you don’t have a romance like that (just me? Oh ok…).

The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
THEMES: Enemies to lovers, fake relationships, romance,
power, past trauma, assault.
Olive, a third year Phd student, doesn’t believe in romance,
but feeling intimated by her friend Anh, she lies to say she has
found someone. The only thing is, she points out and kisses the
first guy she sees. Not the best way to start a fake
relationship. But who said anything about it staying fake?
Daisy Jones & THE SIX by Taylor Jenkins Reid
THEMES: Love, addiction, love triangle, group dynamics,
multiple POV’s, set in the 1970’s.
Did I mention this as the movie is coming out next month? Yes
I did. The beauty of this story is that it is set in an interview
style, decades after Daisy Jones & THE SIX have split.
You want music? Drama? Romance? Read it.
P.S. Listen to the album alongside the book whenever the songs appear
In the story. Your heart will be crushed (but in a good way?).
The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
THEMES: Greek mythology, romance, history, war,
LGBTQ+, Fantasy.
You’ve heard about the Trojan War when everyone fought
over the beautiful Helena? Well in this story, Achilles only cares
about one thing, keeping Patroclus, a young Greek prince, safe throughout this war,
and making sure they stay together, even in the afterlife.
Little do they know; fate and history are not on their side.
A love story that will defy what you might have been taught in
History class.
The Duke and I by Julia Quinn
THEMES: Romance, historical fiction, regency, series,
fake relationships.
Of course, I wouldn’t dare leave out the famous Bridgeton
Series! And where to start but at the beginning with
Daphne Bridgeton entering the London season for the first
time with all the eligible men competing at winning her heart.
What better time to begin a (fake) relationship with player
Simon Bassett who refuses to get married. This season
is sure to be filled with secrets and scandals.
Happy Romance Reading!
